Vendano started with a simple question: could sending and accepting ADA feel as approachable as the payment tools people already use?
Over a year and a half, I self-funded, built, and shipped an iPhone app to explore that idea. I developed it in public, experimented with ways to make payments easier, and tried to find a place for it in everyday use.
Ultimately, Vendano did not find enough sustained adoption or a workable path to support continued development. The parts of the ecosystem I could reach seemed focused on other priorities, and I have decided to put my time into other work.
My experience with Cardano and Catalyst also left me wanting clearer communication and more practical support for independent builders. I spent considerable time navigating proposals and looking for collaborators, but struggled to turn that participation into useful testing and sustained adoption. For a project focused on ordinary payments, I never found the support network I had expected.
I'm proud that Vendano became a real product. Thank you to everyone who tried it, took an interest, or offered useful feedback.
